I grew up listening to The Monkees. A lot of my sense of humor developed watching the show on Channel 11 in the evening after the Real Ghostbuster cartoons. Davy Jones passed this morning at 66. Needless to say The Monkees are on my playlist today. Thank you for the music.

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying this weather more than you can imagine, but I had a few snow paintings planned that I have put off now as its just impossible to paint snow when its a gorgeous 70 degrees outside.
In the meantime, I have been quietly making updates to the site that have yet to be published. Look for those to start rolling out over the next few days.I have some new work that I will be posting this weekend, and I have been doing some contract work for a local web design and ad firm that I will post links to as soon as it goes live. Not to mention my private commissions and design work. In short, I am EXHAUSTED. Very excited, but totally exhausted.
If January was my month to recuperate from 2011, then February will be the month that I kick it off with a bang. Come back tomorow for more!
Have a great night!

First of all I want to thank everyone who made it out for the Art and Craft show this weekend. It was an amazing time and great to see so many of you. But a 3 day show is nothing if not an endurance trial, and I have been playing catch up and slipping in and out of a coma all week. That aside, look for a major update to the site in the next few days, as well as a ton of new work for the holidays!
Until then have a great morning!

I just wanted to send you a reminder that ArtMonkeyWorld will be a vendor at the Strange Folk Festival September 24th and 25th, in Ofallon, IL! I could try and describe all the ways in which this show amazing but I think the blurb from their own site sums it up very well :
Strange Folk is the Heartland's largest outdoor indie arts and crafts show. We are featuring 150 vendors from across the country along with plenty of eco-friendly craft activities, exhibits, live bands, and local cuisine under a canopy of beautiful trees! Over 15,000 folks attended last year, and Strange Folk was declared "BEST OF 2008 in the craft festival category by The Riverfront Times.
The vendors offer merchandise with aesthetics ranging from retro, pretty, punk, urban, and everything in between. All in price ranges that make it possible for anyone to afford a one-of-a-kind handmade creation. Besides our talented artisans, the people at Strange Folk strive for a variety of food and drink options.
O’Fallon, IL is just 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis, and easily accessible from both sides of the Mississippi.
I hope to see you there!

The website is going to be updated a bit over the next few days to make it a bit sleeker, and monkey friendly. And being a fickle artist this means I will change my mind several times and some things will probably move around a bit. If you experience any issues, let me know and hold tight. Trust me, awesomeness is on the way.
